Registration Opens for Prayer Summit 2015

Registration Opens for Prayer Summit 2015

Registration is now open for the third Christian Reformed Church Prayer Summit, which will be held April 13-15 at the All Nations Christian Reformed Church in Lake View Terrace, Calif. in the greater Los Angeles area.

“Building on the previous Summit in 2012 and many additional regional prayer gatherings, this binational event will include pastors, church and ministry leaders, prayer leaders, and intercessors from across the United States and Canada,” writes Dr. Steve Timmermans, the CRC’s executive director, on the recently posted website for the summit.

“All will come together to pray for the Christian Reformed Church and its North American and world-wide mission.”

The website for Prayer Summit 2015 lists speakers for the event, topics to be presented, various prayer resources, including videos of former prayer summit speakers, suggested travel arrangements, and registration cost.

The first prayer summit took place at All Nations CRC in 2012, followed by the next one in 2013, also at All Nations.

“Korean ministries along with Home Missions and denominational ministries are inviting your church to participate. In addition to praying together, this Prayer Summit will provide some opportunities to learn how to pray, to discuss building a prayer ministry in your ministry, and to partner in prayer with other organizations and congregations in your region,” writes Timmermans.

I'm very glad to see that this prayer summit will provide opportunities to discuss building a prayer ministry and partnering in prayer with other organizations and congregations. In one of the Lord's final prayers, before he left earth, he prayed that his people would be one, even as he and the father are one. Prayer is such a good way for unity to develop across all kinds of lines that currently divide those who follow Jesus. Lord, teach us to pray.
