Over the past decade, there has been in increase in the Korean population at the schools I’ve attended – Calvin College and at Calvin Theological Seminary. Whether it is on the college campus or at the seminary student center, you could hear someone speaking Korean in the background. However, just because someone might look Korean, he or she might not identify as only Korean. Especially on the college and seminary campuses, someone might better identify as Korean-American, Korean-adoptee, Korean-Guatemalan, biracial, etc. There are many different ways a person would define his or her own identity...
